Architectural firm chosen for new Campus Life Center

By Kimber Williams | Emory Report

An architectural firm has been selected to spearhead the design of a new Campus Life Center (CLC), and the Emory community is invited to an open house on Wednesday, July 29, from 3-5 p.m. in the Harland Cinema to provide input on early conceptual ideas.

Following a public exhibit of design concepts, models and drawings submitted by five architectural firms held on campus in March, the Durham, North Carolina-based firm of Duda/Paine Architects was chosen to take the lead in creating a new CLC on the site of the current Dobbs University Center (DUC), says Emory University Architect Jen Fabrick.

Based upon hundreds of comments solicited from Emory faculty, staff and students, the design concepts presented by Duda/Paine were an overwhelming hit with the campus community, Fabrick says.
